Tossin' Burgers

Anger Management
Can you believe that last semester, at a very prestigious college in NY, a raging lunatic was reportedly seen catapulting (what seemed to be) a cheeseburger at a fellow pupil! Now that’s anger!! I’m sure the slight altercation could have been avoided with a level-headed conversation, but of course those come a dime a dozen.

People, keep it classy… don’t throw burgers like that hot-head, throw love and support and encouragement at your advisories… Yea right!

Here are some great ways to de-escalate some situations and avoid getting angry.

-Before reacting to a situation, think and rate how important the circumstance really is. You might realize that it won’t even matter in a couple days or even a few hours. (thanks friend for that tip)

-(the classic) Counting. Counting causes you to stop and remove yourself from the situation. By emotionally detaching yourself, you can approach the situation with a new attitude.

-Scream! Screaming during an altercation, of course, will cause things to go from 1 to 10 in seconds, but if you're alone and feeling angry, a scream may be just what you need to relieve that stress!

-Cry! Yea I know “big girls don’t cry” but no other animal produces tears as an emotional response soooo why not be human and cry! (Random huh?!) Holding back the tears when you’re angry will cause more damage than just letting it out!
-Talk to someone! But please be selective who you vent to. You need a friend that will extinguish the fire, not add fuel to it.

-Squeeze something! Stress balls, pillows, people (just kidding.. unless it’s a hug)

-Sleep it off. Calm down, chill out, and just relax. Take a nap and wake up on the other side of the bed

-Drink it all way… NOT!!! When you're angry please avoid activities such as drinking and drugs - it's never cool. These things may heighten the anger and cause more problems than you started out with.

Okay I'm done, so just be happy ok? OK! :)
