In a recent interview, Jay-Z explained the album cover artwork for his The Blueprint 3. He says that these instruments are no longer being used in the music industry and the white represents the blandness of music today. The three red strips represent the third Blueprint and is how the number 3 was written way back in time.
I thought that it was pretty cool and interesting. Before I knew about the number 3 I just thought that it was resembled the American flag, guess I was wrong.
What do you think of the album cover?
