On the Plains w/Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde

Denzil Porter, who's known for his punchlines, flow, delivery and visual aids, adds two more music videos to his gallery. He's a true artist and if nothing else, he knows how to keep his fans interested and entertained.


Today, we bring you his two latest videos for his singles, "On the Plains" and "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde". If you know Denzil, or his music, you should know that he reps the Bronx/While Plains Rd. hard! "On the Plains" is exactly what it says it is. The video depicts individuals embodying the lyrics of Denzil Porter, as they can all relate to being "on the plains". This video was directed by Jaison Williams, who also directed D.P.'s video for "The Reasons."


The second video we're bringing to you is his newest, "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde"; which was inspired by Robert Stevenson's iconic novel released in 1886. The imagery in the video displays the split personalities of D.P. very well, and we can thank no other than Ulysses Adams for his direction on the video. You'll get a sense of both sides of Denzil Porter; the conservative/mysterious side, and the beast! eyeTECH: Wii Up, Flip Down

Tech News for all of you Bizzybodies that use them, and all of you who watch your health:

Cisco (the makers of Flip Cam) has reported that they are discontinuing the hand-held devices due to budget cuts. The once popular item has been defeated by other electronics such as smart phones, leaving the CEO at Cisco no choice but to disband it in an effort to rebuild the company.

Still want one? Better hurry soon!

Oh wait, there's more!

A new study in Canada found that patients who suffered from stroke were more than three times likely to show improvement in arm and hand function when they played video games, versus those who received regular therapy.

This may lead to more digital integration for stroke victims in rehabilitation.

Where did 'Wii' think of that?

eyeWatch: Runaway

People may call him crazy, selfish, egotistical, even insane, but either way, KANYE WEST is always talked about. Last year he made headlines due to a shocking event at the VMAs, and to escape the chaos, he chose to RUNAWAY. He didn't stay away too long, true artists never do. He has people looking forward to Friday nights for the singles off of his album "GOOD Fridays" to drop, his album, and most recently the world had the chance to experience his latest artwork in his film, RUNAWAY. Starring Selita E. Banks, the film captures Kanye and a Phoenix (Selita) - who served as his muse. The art and imagery in the film was great; kudos go out to Vanessa Beecroft (Art Director). I won't get into the details of it or my personal opinion, but I will in a comment ;) Happy watching!

New Videos from Rihanna, Travie, & Chris

Today's new videos come from Rihanna, Travie McCoy and Chris Brown. Chris' "Yeah 3x" has been playing in heavy rotation and the video was highly anticipated. Travies music video for "Need You" off his album, Lazarus has a Chinatown influence on it, and the song is lovable. The official video for Rihanna's second single "Who's That Chick" from her forthcoming LOUD (due out November 12th) is here! The video features both "Day" and "Night" elements and has been used for a Doritos campaign and shows off the edgy and pop Rihanna. This video follows the recent release of her video for "Only Girl (In the World)" video. Last but not least, Chris Brown's release of his video which has a great energy and couldn't be without his signature dance moves. Happy watching!

eyewatch: The Social Network

I’m convinced: social media is taking over the world.

Facebook.com has made it to the big screen with the biopic, “The Social Network,” which hit theaters today.

The movie tells the quite interesting story of how founder, Mark Zuckerberg and partners Chris Hughes, Dustin Moskovitz, and Eduardo Saverin created the digital phenomenon during their days in school back in 2004.

Though the creators have been head-budded with controversy, and Facebook has been banned in several countries, it is no question how this website has changed the lives of many people.

In its first year alone, Facebook acquired 1,000,000 followers, and as of July 2010, the social network has reached 500,000,000 active users with a net worth of over $30 billion.

eyeGot Your Back

In any relationship, it's safe to say that one thing you want your partner to do for you is to have your back. T.I. and Keri Hilson teamed up shortly after "The King"'s return for his single "Got Your Back" produced by DJ Toomp. The single is off of T.I.'s new album King Uncaged due in stores September 28th. The video features cameos from actors Lance Gross and Jill Marie Jones. Nothing captures the essence of the song more than T.I.'s strong relationship with long time fiance Tiny. Nicki Minaj Wants "Your Love"

It's safe to say that Nicki Minaj is the most loved and hated female MC in the industry right now. But today, she's in need of "Your Love". Sure some of us hate the kookiness, the colored wigs, and the voice; but truth is, every superhero has their theme music - and Nicki's is in heavy rotation. Not only that, but "Your Love" has been dominating the Billboard charts at #1! In the video Nicki plays a student Samurai who falls in love with her teacher; played by actor Michael Jai White (of the TP Why Did I Get Married films). It's a cute storyline and metaphoric in more than one way. The video was directed by Lil' X and followed Nicki's first visual. Check it out and let us know what you think. Happy watching!

"There Goes My Baby"... The song the ladies love, and the guys secretly play it as their getting ready for their significant others. Usher isn't the only one bring us hit after hit; Anthony Mandler has directed some of the hottest videos this season back to back. This video is just as cool and easy breezy as the song is. In a very serene setting with his leading lady, with the sunset of Los Angeles in the backdrop, how could you go wrong? You can, but the Usher kept it simple this time around. California Gurls, Te Amo

New video are being released like crazy & today we have two for you; which come from "best friends" Katy Perry & Rihanna. The California girl herself dropped
her oh-so-sweet video for her single "California Gurls" featuring Snoop Dogg. The single comes from her upcoming album Teenage Dream; which is due out in August. The high energy, lovable song doesn't disappoint as director, Mathew Cullen (of the creative group known as Motion Theory), sticks to a Candyland theme and will be craved by anyone with a sweet tooth. Katy isn't the only one who kissed a girl and liked it... Rihanna gets hot and steamy with her leading lady in the official music video for "Te Amo". This is yet another video released off of her recent album, Rated R, in stores now. Her video was directed by Anthony Mandler, and no different from her other videos, will be sure to have people talking! You may know "Travie" or Travis Lazarus McCoy as the lead vocalist of the alternative hip-hop group Gym Class Heroes. He recently released his first solo single, "Billionaire". The song features singer Bruno Mars, who was a part of B.o.B.'s number one single "Nothin' on You". Now comes "The Manual" off of McCoy's debut solo album, Lazarus, which is in stores now! Eye'm a ROCKSTAR

It's fair to say that the wait is over because shortly after releasing her video to "Rude Boy" Rihanna's back to drop newest video "Rockstar 101". I must say this video is very reminiscent of "On to the Next One" by Jay-Z. Both videos were shot in black and white, and they also incorporated symbolism and an air of darkness. I can admit that Rihanna definitely turns into a rockstar in this video. At one point, RiRi even turns into a four horned crawling beast, I'm not going to lie, I was a little scared and confused. Lastly, I noticed that Rihanna has gotten quite comfortable with "flipping the bird" to those watching her on the screen. Maybe this is her reminding everyone out there that she doesn't care. Well the wait is over and I bring you "Rockstar 101." Happy watching.

effFRESH OR effFLOP: "What's Not To Love"

Today's "Fresh or Flop" video comes from one of the smoothest and most soulful dudes in Hip-Hop and R&B, not Trey or Usher...Dwele. I'm personally happy to see him back out doing the music thing. I fell in love with Sketches of A Man and of course his vocals on Kanye's latest joint, "Power." On June 29th Dwele is set to release his fourth album W.W.W. (W.ants. W.orld. W.omen). eyeWatch: "Yo Side of the Bed"

It looks like Trigga took a more mature approach on his video for "Yo Side of the Bed"; off of his album Ready. The video features Keri Hilson as his leading lady and just by previewing the video, I knew that I would be in love. I love the storyline and how the roles have been reversed from the typical "guy leaves girl" home to take care of the kids and feeling lonely. The screenplay was written by Tremaine Neverson (Mr. Songz himself) and Bianca Mendez. I won't give too much more away, because I'm sure you'll enjoy it. Happy watching!

eyeWatch: "Hello GoodMorning"

Although the video for Diddy & Dirty Money's "Hello Good Morning" featuring Rick Ross and T.I. was released last week, but there's something about it that just make me post it. I love T.I.'s verse & swag in the video. Despite the fact that I think Kaleena and Dawn don't get enough shine, I think The Last Train To Paris will be a hit album. Hopefully we hear more from the two ladies, but since Diddy's in the equation, I don't know how likely that is. The video was directed by Hype Williams and is off the album, The Last Train To Paris, set to hit stores on June 29th.

Alicia Keys is looking beautiful and director, Jake Nava, has captured the essence of the song and turned it into a storyline reminiscent of A Bronx Tale. This song is so passionate and one that I could listen to repeatedly, having it sound brand new every time. eyeWatch: "Find Your Love"

The song that I've been recently listening to over and over now has a video to go along with it. Drake's "Find Your Love" (produced by Kanye West) is definitely a hit and after shooting the video in Kingston, Jamaica with director Anthony Mandler, we'll see if it lives up to the song. Mavado is featured in the video, giving Drizzy some advice on his love interest. The video has an interesting storyline and draws the conclusion that finding your love can be the death of you. But I'll let you see what I'm talking about for yourselves. Happy watching!

eyeWatch: "Why Don't You Love Me"

Despite her being on a "6 month break", Beyoncé or should I say "B.B. Homemaker" has decided to get back into character and hit us with a new video! "Why Don't You Love Me" is another single off of her 3x Platinum album (bonus track on iTunes edition) I Am...Sasha Fierce; written by Solange Knowles. The video has a vintage-60s inspired edge to it; one look that she's giving us is a pin-up/mechanic and then one with the short Chinese bangs that we all love (not so much lol). The video was directed by MELINA & Bee Z. Happy watching!
