The 2009 MTV Video Music Awards was definitely a night to remember. If you want to read my commentary/recap you can do so here. Since this night had so many action-packed moments, I thought that I would share them. From Janet Jackson's tribute to her brother Michael Jackson to Lil Mama crashing Jay-Z's performance (which I am convinced was a publicity stunt on her part, unless Jay-Z says otherwise), this year was one to remember. Beyoncé Wins "Video of the Year" Award and shares the moment with Taylor Swift


Jay-Z performs "Empire State of Mind" with Alicia Keys. Great performance! Lil' Mama, why were you there?

    I loved all of these moments. i was a little spooked out and by Lady Gaga but when am i not. B killed it! Lil mama made me mad, and alicia sounded lovely. B is such a kind person. Oh and Janet jackson ate that performance. i wanted to cry too. RIP MJ

    I have no clue. free publicity? But if you pay attention Jay says to her "You're t-paining". referring to t pain doing the same thing during his summer jam performance
