After the R&B veteran, Usher, released Confessions, I'm pretty sure we didn't think another R&B sensation would hit the scene and do it like he did...and then there was Trey. It's been a long time coming, and Ayindé has had fans on their toes waiting for the release of his first solo mixtape, "No Slices." Featured on Good Music All Day, TruStatement.com, and elleELLEeye.blogspot.com, Ayindé has proven that he is more than just a rapper, he's a true artist; and anyone that knows Ayindé personally, or just lyrically will say the same and be extremely impressed with this mixtape. From "The Procession" to the "Outro", it was hard not to be overwhelmed with excitement and pride hearing where Ayindé's work has brought him thus far, and will take him in the future.
The mixtape title track, "No Slices", produced by Ayindé himself, is a great listen. From the lyrics and metaphors, to instrumentation and vocals, the sound on this track is refreshing. "Gone" is another great song, produced by Johnny Juliano. The chorus, "They ask me where I'm going, said I'm headed to the top.

I'm never looking back, and no, I'm never gonna stop. And baby I'm gone and I'm gone and I'm gone..." is something you would hear on your local Hip-Hop radio station on heavy rotation. "Gone" gives you a glimpse of where Ayindé is headed in this industry, especially as he identifies with some of Hip-Hop's heavyweights as he so cleverly states, "They say I'm kinda like J. Cole with a little Drake, and maybe Kanyeezy. Sprinkle a little Phonte, then maybe you got me." I'm sure if he stays on the path that he is on both musically and mentally, he will be an artist that others compare themselves to in the near future. Another track that anyone would enjoy merges Ayindé and his rapper friend Indigo, of the group M.A.E., giving you "Ayindigo". Both Ayindé and Indigo have tight flows that make this song a good feel, party up track. It's short, sweet and straight to the point! "Do It", is very reminiscent of the sound that you would hear if you knew Ayindé back when he was spittin' as a member of Rekon. A very laid back flow, accompanied by tight lyrics.

Let's renew our minds, one thought at a time. Instead of taking things personal, let's have control of all of our emotions. Rather than regretting what could have been done, let's make it a point to always do our best. "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz is a toltec book of wisdom. Here are some things you can do to change your thinking and live freely in this crazy critical world.Chapter 1. Realize that a lot of our thoughts and feelings about ourselves and others come from the influence of the world. Just think about it. You might ask for a second opinion on an outfit because you "don't want to look crazy" instead of just wearing what you want. The book explains this in its 1st chapter "Domestication and the Dream of the Planet"
*An agreement is something that you consent to. In this book, you explore the many agreements you made with the world, and have denied about your true self.*
Chapter 2. The First Agreement: Be Impeccable with Your Word. Speak with Integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.
Chapter 3. The Second Agreement: Don't take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you wont be the victim of needless suffering.
Chapter 4. The Third Agreement: Don't Make assumptons. Find the corage to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama.
Chapter 5. The Fourth Agreement: Always Do Your Best. Your best is going to change from moment to moment; it will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick. Under any circumstance, simply do your best and you will avoid self-jugment, self-abuse and regret.
Those were the little summaries from the book, but I suggest you get the book for yourself. Read it with an open mind and incoroporate some of the ideas into your everyday life. One thought at a time, you can help break the worlds agreements, and start on the road to living truly for you.

He's collaborated with the self-proclaimed Barbie of the game, Nicki Minaj for the hit single, "Lil' Freak". YES WE CAN!
The United States House of Representatives passed a historic piece of legislation; a healthcare reform bill that promises to extend coverage to millions who have been denied for reasons ranging from poverty to preexisting conditions.It was a resounding victory for President Barack Obama, but how will this new law affect you?
We looked into the bill to find out what changes will kick in immediately and what we're going to have wait a few years for. Here's a breakdown:
* Effective immediately, insurance companies will no longer be able to cap or limit the amount they spend on your care in a lifetime. This is especially important for those struggling with lifetime chronic illness and or potentially fatal diseases (i.e. cancer, HIV, emphysema).
* Insurance carriers will no longer be able to deny you coverage based on preexisting conditions. The new law stipulates that $5 billion be set aside to help cover those have been denied insurance in the past. This money is earmarked to be used until the full coverage of the bill comes into effect in 2014.
* Insurance co.'s will have to extend coverage for children up to the age 26, effective immediately. Right now, the carriers are only obligated to cover older children up until they graduate college.
* A $250 credit will be extended to all seniors on Medicaid, in order to help close the gap in coverage as it pertains to prescription drug plans. This is a temporary fix as the bill enforces much stricter cost caps to drug companies, ensuring that prescriptions drugs prices will be reduced by up to 50% in 2011 and up to 75% by 2020.
By 2014:
* Health insurance exchanges touted heavily by the Obama administration will take effect, allowing small businesses, as well as those who are self-employed and/or unemployed to band together to buy less expensive insurance coverage.
* You will be required to have health insurance or face fines ranging from $95 or 1% of your income, whichever is greater. By 2015 the fee will go up to 2% of gross income, and by 2016 it rises to 2.5%. This plan includes an exemption for poor families and families of four making less than $88,000 annually.
* Medicaid will be expanded to cover poor adults and not just the elderly or those with children.
* Tax breaks will be provided to families to assist in offsetting the cost of health insurance coverage. The amounts will be based on annual income.

I cant walk in stilettos! What a tragedy. A fashion major who can't walk in heels, SMH! So, I'm on this quest to figure out how to WORK IT like Naomi and Tyra! I've been online all day looking at videos that people uploaded with tips and such trying to explain how to walk. So for all you diva's that need a little help like me, here's the tips that I found:
1. Stand up straight! Slouching only brings you closer to the ground and that's no good.
2. Heel - Toe...WRONG. Think of putting your weight on your arch. This way your balance is on your whole foot and not one part.
3. Stick out that booty! It'll balance out your posture and help your body to be lifted.
4. Scratch the bottom of your shoes. It'll make the shoes less slippery and help you walk harder and it'll make the walk look a lot better
5. Last but not least... Put some CONFIDENCE in it! Nothing looks better than a confident woman!

Lose Control
Quenching your thirst for eye'm Thirsty Thursdays never got easier, as we take you guys back for our Throwback Video of the day! Back when Missy Elliot was hot, she teamed up with Ciara (and Fat Man Scoop) to gave us this hot video "Lose Control"; which was directed by Dave Meyers.
