Walking Retro

Finding the right pair of shoes can be one of the hardest things a woman has to do. We have to worry about the style, color, price, and not to mention that open/peep-toe (which means pedicure) and duhn-duhn-duhhhhh...that heel! But high heels aren't the only way you can look cute and have guys think you look sexy; why not go retro and try something with a low or no, heel? This is where Mod Cloth, one of my favorite "Retro Indie" clothing sites comes in handy. They have a bunch of stuff that is cool, retro and vintage. I love how high heels look and elongate, but if you can't walk in them, then it defeats the purpose. So here are some not too high heels that you may like that are affordable and will be sure to add some pzazz to your wardrobe. Happy shopping!

Fashion Is Art Wedge $163.99 - Though some refuse to believe it, we know it's true - fashion is a form of art. These wild wedges from Jeffrey Campbell are here to prove it! Slashed with a bold, black and white pattern evocative of popular 80's graffiti art, and bottomed by a wedge of imbricated silver discs whose shiny surface reflects the world around them, these impact-making leather peep toes are ready to turn your world into an aesthetic wonderland. Close their zipper around your inner ankle, and pair them with form-hugging leggings, a geometric print dress, and angular sunglasses for a look that's a pure masterpiece! And they go up to size 11 for the ladies that need it ;)

Easy Being Green $39.99 - Put some spring in your step with these fresh, vegan-friendly, fashionably heeled sandals! Featuring a flirty peep toe and sassy ankle buckle, these captivating, lime-colored shoes add instant moxie to all your spring ensembles. We suggest pairing them with high-waisted shorts and a short sleeve blouse for an outstanding outfit!

Glamorous Geology $69.99 - These heels look as though they were mined, cut, and buffed just for your feet! Precious turquoise-hued material arches sharply on either side of this shoe's vamp, while super shiny acanthite-colored material, with a cracked design resembling a mosaic, twists and bends from the heel cap to the toe. Lead grey laces fasten up the shoe, ensuring you'll be able to step securely in the wood-like stacked heel. Wear these with a silvery dress, rhinestone jewelry, and a rockin' headband for a look of elemental glamour.

Cuneiform Boot $127.99 - Lace up these striking booties by Industry, and take a walk through a lost civilization. The leather upper features faux snakeskin panels printed with onyx geometric shapes set against a sand backdrop, and might even inspire you to take up ancient Sumerian writing. A tiered ankle strap cascades toward the exposed heel, while thick laces lead down to the open toe. Wear these bold shoes with a black mini dress and sheer stockings, or khaki capris and an oversized tee. Read the archaic writing on the wall - these booties will never go out of 'stylus!'

What do you think about the these shoes?

I luv modcloth! The fashion art wedges are Haaaa-ot!!

  1. Forgot to mention that although the Fashion Art Wedges are "low", wedges are easier to walk in than your ordinary heel. and since this are ankly wedges, they have a little more support to prevent that trip or wobble.
