eyeYeyeYeye: When Will "The King" Learn?

Life is something to be taken very seriously because it is so precious, valuable and so short. I am no angel, but I do try to keep that age old adage in mind as I maneuver through this thing called life. T.I. is no different, regardless of the light we have placed on him, he is human. He is prone to make mistakes, as we all do. Times like these call for real friends who are honest and upfront about his poor decision making. Along my many roads traveled, I have had a couple of those wake up calls and I am eternally in debt to those who were frank. When adjudicating, the judge mentioned "an experiment". No one's life is an experiment and consequences - although feasibly trial and error - are stern at times and never to be forgotten. T.I. was sentenced to another 11 months in prison for drug possession - not too long after him serving 11 month last year for gun possession. I wish him the best as I wish all who are forced to face the music.

Its been a while since we've fed you any and what better time than to indulge than today? There's been a few things going on in the entertainment world, and today we've got two treats for you. Ready? Enjoy...
T.I. & Tiny Arrested

TI and his wife Tiny were pulled over in Los Angeles on a routine traffic stop and the police smelled MARIJUANA in the car. After searching the car, police found an UNSPECIFIED OTHER DRUG in the car.

According to TMZ, TI and Tiny were both placed under ARREST, and as of this morning, were awaiting bail. MediaTakeOut.com can report that rapper TI has almost 3 YEARS LEFT on his probation. If he is found GUILTY of this offense (a violation), he could go to jail for 3 MORE YEARS! They have 5 CHILDREN and a successful entertainment career, It's just a SHAME!

Kanye Trying to Steal Selita From Maxwell

There may be some beef in the music world between rapper Kanye West and R&B singer Maxwell. Why? According to a source close to Maxwell, the R&B singer and model Selita Banks have been dating fairly seriously for almost six months. The insider explained, "They were trying to keep it out of the public because they wanted it to last...they really cared for each other."

Well that's where rapper Kanye West comes in. The insider explains, "Kanye and Selita were sneaking around behind Maxwell's back. This is crazy because they were all friends. For Ye to do that is beyond grimey." And the insider adds, "He'll get his though, Maxwell is no punk."

Remember this is the VERY SAME thing Kanye did with Kim Kardashian, while she was with Reggie Bush. DANG!!!(Mediatakeout)

Need more? That's all the junk you're getting from us! But mediatakeout will keep you entertained in that area.

NY, Italy, and Miami were the sites for the weddings of President Bill Clinton's only daughter Chelsea and fiancé Mark Mezvinsky, Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz, and long time couple, Tiny and T.I. A few people have their own opinion on the union of A.Keys and Swizzy, but save it for a comment. Congratulations to all of the couples and may the union be til death do them part! Take a look at some wedding photos and details. Happy eating reading!

Alicia Keys & Swizz Beatz' International Wedding Getaway

Here are two shots from Swizz and Alicia’s European wedding this weekend in the southern Corsica, Piantarella in Italy. Alica Keys wore a Vera Wang dress complete with colored diamond tiara – while Swizzy kept it chic in a custom Tom Ford suit.

Chelsea Clinton walked down the aisle with her father Bill Clinton in a Vera Wang organza dress for her wedding to Marc Mezvinsky yesterday. According to reports – her wedding costs amounted to $5 Million dollars. "Who she think she is? Chelsea Clinton?!" (TLF).

Tiny & T.I.'s Secret Wedding

T.I. and longtime girlfriend Tiny are now man and wife. T.I., real name Clifford Harris, and Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, were married in a secret wedding ceremony on an island that was on the outskirts of Miami. Cottle is the mother of two of T.I.’s kids and been the rapper’s companion since 2001.

The wedding was positioned as a family trip to the media, but doubled as a wedding. Tiny wore a beautiful Valentino gown and the King of ATL, Tip was clad in Prada. Monica, Kandi Burress (ATL Housewife, and former member of Escape) and co-star of her reality show and ex-wife to Lil Wayne, Toya Carter served as Bridesmaids in the ceremony. In any relationship, it's safe to say that one thing you want your partner to do for you is to have your back. BET Awards 2010 Commentary

Queen Latifah - the host - started this year’s BET award show off wonderfully with a comedic introduction and a “performance” to Drake’s "Over". She looked beautiful as usual and definitely kept my attention after the opening act. Let’s backtrack…Kayne West opened the show with his single “Power” from him upcoming album, Good A** Job. Kanye standing on top of a mountain with a mic & colossal chain wasn’t as interesting as I hoped that it would be. Next up was Usher, who performed a favorite of mine, “There Goes My Baby”. I felt his performance from the live band to the lighting and effects (except the vocals). I definitely think he set the bar for Trey Songz, but I think Trey's vocals will be on point. I LOVED Nicki Minaj's acceptance speech! She definitely kept it real and gave a true heartfelt speech; minus the bit of hood that was apparent at the end. T.I. was up next and he put on a show as usual with Travis Barker (who I love) as his drummer.

And the award for "Best Male Hip Hop Artist" goes to...who else? DRAKE! If you missed the announcement, you might've thought that the award was for best group. Young Money is coming to the stage old school passe style. Well deserved award for Drake, although not surprising. Although Queen Latifah's costumes got annoying very quick, little Gabby who came out to help announce Alicia Keys was amazing! Hopefully we hear more from her in the future. Alicia did do a good job. She was glowing and looked and sounded beautiful; baby bump and all. Speaking of baby bump (or lack there of), Keyshia Cole performed B.o.B's hit record "Airplanes II" featuring Haley Williams with Eminem. She definitely wasn't herself, and I mean that in the best way, because she sounded great! Until she started to over sing the song, but overall, good performance.

Monica was next up singing her single "Everything to Me". Then she brought out legend Denise Williams, who she sample the song from. The two went on to introduce the award for Best Collaboration; which went to Jay-Z featuring Alicia Keys for "Empire State of Mind". Next on the stage was Diddy Dirty Money featuring T.I., Rick Ross, and Nicki Minaj. I can't front, that performance was all the way turned up! They killed, if you disregard the lip syncing.

Next up, Chris Brown with a Tribute to the late Michael Jackson. I missed the performance, but I did hear him and just glad that BET gave him a chance to hit the stage. He was probably overwhelmed by performing for the same people who lost respect for him last year after the infamous situation. I'm happy he received a standing ovation and was embraced. Hopefully he can come back full force, sooner than later. Thank Me Later, or now if you must...DRAKE hit the stage with a medley and was joined on stage by Young Jeezy (who looked crispy in his all white - the jacket was on point). They performed "Lost My Mind" (remix) and Drake was into his performance to say the lease. I was hoping he would perform "Light Up" and Jay would make a surprise appearance, but - that didn't happen.

And the award for "Best Male R&B Artist" goes to Mr. Trey Songz! He was up against some stiff competition; Chris Brown (who the crowd went wild for) and Usher to name a couple. His mother is beautiful and was so happy for him, as she should be. El Debarge followed and some may have said he danced more than he sang(and that the performance was random) - but it was a high energy performance...Gary Coleman was honored by Todd Bridges and Tyrese honor to Teddy Pendergrass by singing his classics. The tributes were kept alive by Kim Burrell, Karen Clark Shepard, Fred Hammond, Kirk Franklin, and Yolanda Adams with a tribute song to Haiti. John Legend was the Humanitarian Award recipient of the Night for his work in the US and Africa with the "Show Me" campaign; who provides clean water, nutrition, and education to help break the cycle of poverty. AWESOME ACCEPTANCE SPEECH!

In my opinion, Trey Songz performance was better than Usher's although he did go a little too in at the end. He paid homage to Prince with a little bit of classic "Purple Rain", overall, good job to Trey! The award for "Video of the Year" went to Beyoncé and Lady Gaga for "Video Phone", in which neither ladies were present LOL!

Now for that Prince tribute...It started off with words from Stevie Wonder, who "saw Prince dance" lol and began with a performance from Janelle Monae. She was extremely animated as usual; while performing "Crazy" and had Prince looking at her like...OKAY! Esperanda Spaldin was next followed by Alicia Keys and Patti LaBelle - who went IN! Chris Brown took home an award on behalf of his fans, the "Fandeominum" award.

And one of the last performances of the night: "My Chick Bad" by Ludacris featuring Nicki Minaj. Tommy Lee on drums was on Drums and then came DJ Khaled featuring the new dream team, T-Pain, Busta Rhymes, Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj, Diddy for the "My Chick Bad" Remix followed by the "All I Do is Win remix". I LOVE LOVE LOVE that song! Great ending! I wish I was there, but that will soon come.

Some random things you may have seen in the audience of the show: Brandy looked great, until I saw her on stage. Lisa Raye was wearing white...surprised?, Tiny is now a blonde...again. Overall this was one of BET's best shows.

Congratulations to all of the winners and nominees of the night! What are/were your thoughts on the show?

When the South is in the House

Extreme hospitality was given recently in NYC, as the Hammerstein Ballroom was the site for VH1 HipHop Honors: The Dirty South Edition. So I guess the myth of East Coast vs. South can be put to rest. Much necessary, and much deserved for those who included but not limited to J. Prince, Master P, Uncle Luke, Jermaine Dupri, Timbaland, and Organized Noise. If you do not know who these people are, I suggest you go back to the lab and learn. Pioneers to say the least, moguls, at best, ARTISTS - primarily.

They've brought us creativity, innovation, and perspective; and an insight into the southern way of life - which has been fused into what we know and like today. l myself have been rocking with Southern music for quite some time. Having family in the south, I've always been intrigued by the southern drawl, the style, the livelihood. I can remember the excitement of getting the Ghetto D album by Master P, or rocking that "Riding Dirty" by B. I always wanted to be a Hot Boy and when T.I. brought us "Trap Muzik", I was hooked. At times my mind has played tricks on me, while riding to that Southernplayalisticadillac funky music.

Respect is due, and if you haven't given it - NOW IS THE TIME. The south is in the house. I am a NY'er born and raised and have never forgotten that, but I recognize quality like a jeweler can recognize a rare gem. Lil' Jon had me CRUNK with the Youngbloodz, and the parties in my hood were always 2 LIVE when Uncle Luck came on. Timbaland taught me about my blackground, when I stopped being Kriss Krossed. I say all this to say that I tip my hat to the south in honor of their hustle, their pride and sound.

eyeWatch: "Hello GoodMorning"

Although the video for Diddy & Dirty Money's "Hello Good Morning" featuring Rick Ross and T.I. was released last week, but there's something about it that just make me post it. I love T.I.'s verse & swag in the video. Despite the fact that I think Kaleena and Dawn don't get enough shine, I think The Last Train To Paris will be a hit album. Hopefully we hear more from the two ladies, but since Diddy's in the equation, I don't know how likely that is. The video was directed by Hype Williams and is off the album, The Last Train To Paris, set to hit stores on June 29th.

Also, check out behind-the-scenes footage of "Hello Good Morning" the remix featuring Nicki Minaj. Happy watching!
