eyeInspire: Return!

No one is perfect. The only person who was perfect while on earth, died on a cross about 2000 years ago. Many times we forget that we're human, and we let our mistakes get the best of us. Never has anyone gone so far on the wrong path that they couldn't return to the right one. Many of us tend to use our sins and wrongdoings as a crutch, as we make up excuses as to why we can stay in that dark place...or even be with that person who God hasn't intended for us to be with. Being obedient will do you so much better than indulging in the things that don't last. Yes, God knows your heart in all that you do, but don't let that be the reason why you keep revisiting sinful ways. Micah 7:18-19 says,
Where is the god who can compare with you—
wiping the slate clean of guilt,
Turning a blind eye, a deaf ear,
to the past sins of your purged and precious people?
You don't nurse your anger and don't stay angry long,
for mercy is your specialty. That's what you love most.
And compassion is on its way to us.
You'll stamp out our wrongdoing.
You'll sink our sins
to the bottom of the ocean - (The Message).
Never has anyone become so wayward that they couldn't benefit from the true light. It's never too late to get back on track. You belong to God, and once you accept His gift of salvation, you're His! Once you go off of his path for you, you belong to the world. BUT - God will always await your return with open arms. Today, eyeInspire you leave your old ways behind you and return to the living truth.

eyeInspire: Keep Trusting

Many times we find it difficult to trust in God when so many things are going wrong in our lives. This is just a test of our faith. God isn't responsible for the "wrongs", but when those things do show up in our lives, He's there to make sure we're equipped with what we need to overcome. But how can He cover us in times of hardship if we don't trust that he can do all things? For the Word says,

"You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you."
— Isaiah 26:3

Once you learn to fully put your trust in God, He will give you peace; perfect peace. Think about it: If we trust the Lord with our worries, money problems, heartache, sickness, depression and lack of, how peaceful would our lives be? If you've been trusting God for something that has yet to manifest, just know that His good and perfect will won't disappoint us. The scripture says those "whose mind is stayed on you" will be kept in perfect peace. Keep your mind on God and keep trusting him for your spiritual breakthrough and He will provide. Trust!

eyeInspire: Let Go, Let God

Don't worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don't forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ. - Philippians 4:6-7 NIV

Worry, pain, anger, financial stumps, hurt, pain, agony, jealous, fear, envy...all these things and guess how many you can God can handle? All of them. Isn't that a great thing to know? There are many times where our own pride gets in the way of us letting go of what we can't fix on our own, and trusting that with God's strength, grace and mercy, anything is possible.

There are so many things that we, as humans try to take control of that are just out of our hands. For instance: Some may hold on to past relationships, still trying to fix what they think is wrong. Others may try to fight an addiction without seeking any help but themselves. One may What should we do if not those things? Be faithful to God' word. Be obedient to the laws he laid out for us. Love others, pray and build a relationship with God. He wants to bless you, but if you're trying to keep hold of the steering wheel while juggling the cares of the world, you're bound to crash. It's okay to use auto-pilot once in a while.

Today, eyeHope to inspire you to let go of everything that has hurt you, made you angry, given you a headache and surrender those thoughts, problems and issues to God. Watch how He works.

eyeread vintage: The Giving Tree

When was the last time you even saw this book?

The classic piece written by Shel Silverstein in 1964 tells the story of a relationship between a boy and a tree. Anything the young child asks for such as a branch to swing from or an apple to eat, the tree gives without hesitation. As the boy gets older, he asks for more such as branches to build a house. In the most selfless act, the tree also offers itself so that the boy can build a boat. The story ends with the tree merely a stump. Yet, it still offers the boy (who is now an old man), a place to sit, and grants him rest.

I remember reading this book as a child and comparing the relationship between the tree and boy to that of God and creation. He loved mankind so much so He gave up His only son that we might experience salvation.

When was the last time you gave to someone selflessly?

Drop a buzz.
