FOOds 4 BOoBs :)

Hey BizzyBodies!

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I'd thought I'd do some research to find out what are some foods that are good for preventing cancer in mammary glands. And GUYS pay attention! You are at risk for breast cancer as well.

Foods 4 Ur Boobs:

1. FRUITS & VEGGIES: (ex. dark-green leafy foods, tomatoes, citrus, cherries, and berries) are a rich source of phytochemicals believed to reduce cancer.

2. COLD WATER FISH: (ex. tuna, salmon, sardines, and crab) contain omega-3 fats to prevent breast cancer.

3. MONOUNSATURATED OILS: (ex. canola oil, avocado, nuts, seeds) provide multi- anti-cancer ingredients including selenium and squalene.

4. FIBER: (ex. whole grains & beans) also provide lignan which is another source of protection from breast cancer.

5. SOY: Please note organic whole food products with this ingredient (ex. tofu, soy milk, miso) is more likely to reduce than genetically-modified soy products.

SOME HABITS TO AVOID:

1. DRINKING ALCOHOL: A study has proven consuming this can increase the chance of breast cancer by 25 %.

2. EATING REFINED GRAINS: All the "white" stuff such as, white sugar, flour, rice, potato, and bread can increase your risk.

3. NO SLEEP: Studies have proven that a lack of snooze and mental stability can lead to breast cancer.

4. COUCH SITTING: This goes for pretty much anything. If you do not exercise, most of the bad stuff you consume will stay there. You always want to find healthy ways (don't overdo it now) to allow your body to keep functioning properly.

5. CONSUMING UNNECESSARY ESTROGEN: Unless you absolutely need it ladies to regulate your Aunt Flo, help with skin issues, or another specified medical reason, avoid taking the pill. The extra hormones in your body also play a major role in the development of breast cancer.

Hope this helps! Got any more tips?

DROP A BUZZ!

One Fish, Two Fish

One fish, Two fish, Red fish, Blue fish by Dr. Seuss was one of my favorite books to read as a child.

It was probably because my mother is obsessed with seafood and she passed her taste buds for it on to me.

But I ‘m not mad at it. Fish, in particular, has done my body good!

The food is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, a valuable source for brain and immune health as well as prevention against cancer.

The American Heart Association even suggests at least two servings of fish per week will help prevent heart disease, lower blood pressure, and reduce the risk of heart attack, strokes, and cardiovascular disease.

It is wonderful to add to any diet, given that it is low in fat, and high in protein. You don’t have to buy it fresh to receive the same benefits either. The same omega-3 in a can is the same you can get straight from the market.
