Lights are always super important in photography, that’s why big names photographers are known for their unique lighting (usually set up by their assistants). Lighting takes time to understand and control, but once you know how to play with it, the result is often stunning! Falling in love...for some it's when you're in a relationship, but I really think that I fell in love with Louis Vuitton's Spring/Summer 2010 Collection. Okay, not literally, but it was full of spunk and the models killed it with their afros and head to toe LV looks! I love the color palettes and textures, but I'll stop ranting and raving and let you get a glimps of it yourself.
There were brocade cycling shorts, pleated kilt-cum-belts, army-pocketed jackets, neon and nude camouflage slipdresses, and LV-stamped ombré-dyed denim looks with fringed edges. Tubular sport drawstrings were used as cross-lacing up the sides of leggings and later got chopped up and applied to body dresses in swagged appliqués vaguely reminiscent of Native American jewelry. Among the sport mesh and draping in the abbreviated prom-meets-tennis dresses, there was a flash of a brilliant green pailletted number that seemed to link back to the army subtheme (though it hardly matters where it came from, it was so cute).
While walking down the streets of Harlem, you're bound to see some type of sidewalk art. Whether it be a game of hopscotch, or just a few words to brighten up your day, I've seen it before but I've never seen any sidewalk art like this before. Yes, that picture to your left is actually painted onto the sidewalk. Crazy right?!

What is love? I'm sure everyone has their own definition, but what's yours? I just started to think about this after singing Mary J. Blige's "What Love Is" in my head. Well you can leave a comment letting me know, but for now, here are what others think:

I love all of these definitions. What is love to you?
Kids’ wear has come such a long way in the last 5-8 years. Once upon a time, it was hand-me-downs from your older brothers and sisters. These days, any brand worth its weight in fashion gold, will have a diffusion range of kids’ wear offering the same grown-up aesthetic for young fashionistas and their stylish parents.
Jean Paul Gaultier’s range is such an example. Kids’ wear is a competitive market, but with style running through the Parisian’s veins, JPG is spot on with the modern and age-appropriate collection. It’s got the right amount of fashionability, bold shapes and distinct tailoring of JPG’s adult range but with a sense of fun and wearability more suited to kids.
On September 10, 2009 the Black Eyed Peas performed at Oprah's 24th Kickoff Party. But they didn't perform in just any boring way; the crowd at the Oprah taping in Chicago did a special flash mob dance to the Black Eyed Peas live performance of the song, "I Gotta Feeling." This is one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time. Oprah was amazed by it and it was so cool to see how humbled she was watching it.
I'm still shocked as to how all of these people could learn that dance and do it on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago. They were so sycnchronized and man, it was perfect!
Well I guess my shock can be put to rest because this how it all happened:
To celebrate her 24th season premiere, Oprah took over Chicago's famed Michigan Avenue for a fun-filled, star-studded event! Before thousands of fans filled the streets, crews worked overtime to get the stage and lighting assembled.
As the 5 p.m. showtime neared, more than 21,000 people gathered on Michigan Avenue to see performances by the Black Eyed Peas, magician Criss Angel, Jennifer Hudson, James Taylor and Rascal Flatts.
The men and women of Oprah's production crew who helped make the kickoff party possible gathered in front of the stage before the show.
Before the show began, trained dancers taught audience members choreographed steps. When the Black Eyed Peas kicked off the party with their song, "Oprah Feelin'," the dance spread through the crowd, much to Oprah's surprise!
To pull off this flash mob, producers brought in the creative masterminds behind the T-Mobile viral sensation, award-winning director Michael Gracey and choreographer Ashley Wallen.
As the Black Eyed Peas sang "Oprah Feelin'," the audience performed their choreographed dance number—a history-making moment! As the music faded, thousands stood together with one finger held in the air.
Once the flash mob dance ended, Oprah, Fergie and will.i.am gave the audience their due. "That was the coolest!" Oprah said. "Woo, that was fun."
She did it again! Danie elleelleeye's #1 supporter, has made this for me and I love it! I think I might have the LLI logo. It looks so vintage (maybe because of the lighting) and yea, it's just cool. I love how my nephew just pointed at it and said "ewww look" LMAO!
I stumbled upon this great pictures and thought to myself, whoever the photographer is must be fab!And that photographer just happened to be Josh Olins. Open up the just about any magazine known for its cool perspective and you will find his work. Dazed, V, Love, Numero - you name them, he’s in them and with a resume as illustrious as his it’s easy to see why he’s one of the most coveted photographers working right now. Christopher Michael sits down with Josh to discuss his process, what influences his work and of course those incredible group shots.
CM: UK born, NY based (sometimes) where do you attribute the greatest geographical source of your ideas to come from?
Olins: UK based mostly but NYC frequently. I guess as with anyone inspiration can come at home or abroad. NY can be like a movie for me which of course I find inspiring and I guess you get so used to what’s on your doorstep sometimes that you need to step away from it to seek something new and exciting. My ideas are split between the two occasionally coming somewhere at 30,000 ft whilst traveling from A - B but I see things everyday that give me ideas.
