JuNK FOOD: ATL Cat Fight

According to the junk food guru - MediaTakeOut.com - Atlanta housewife NeNe Leakes and top Atlanta stylist Dwight got into a fist fight.

Crazy right?! Well the most mouth-watering part of this story is that the Bravo cameras caught it on tape. I'm sure this will make you watch the third season - right? RIGHT!

What do you think of this situation? COMMENT!

Ready for some finger-licking-good junk food?
Get ready...bone appetit!

Bow Wow & Angela: Take Two

Seems like Bow Wow's got his birthday wish before he blew out his candles this year. The rapper turned 23 yesterday and celebrated his birthday with a lady friend that we may be familiar with; his ex-girlfriend (current girlfriend?) Angela Simmons. *Photo by Prince Williams @ ATLpics.net

ATL Housewife Nene Leakes' Son Arrested

Leakes' son, Bryson Brant, was pulled over in Georgia for unspecified reasons (most likely DWB) and upon running his license, the cops discovered some old tickets that turned into warrants. After further searching, the police discovered weed on Bryson. He was charged with two misdemeanors and spend three days in jail.

Fashion Flop: Fantasia in Kardashian Dress

Fantasia Barrino decided to support the Kardashians and wear a piece from their line with Bebe. Too bad it wasn't as flattering as we would have liked it to be...

Fly Above

With everything going on in the life of Real Housewife of Atlanta, Kandi Burns, I'm glad that she still has her music going for her. It's so unfortunate what happened to her ex-fiance, AJ (may he R.I.P), especially since her upcoming album is supposed to be based on their relationship. However, we do have Kandi's single "Fly Above"; which she did perform on the show. Let us know what you think...happy listening!

3 the Hard Way

When I asked: "Who is your LEAST favorite Housewife of Atlanta?" here were the results:

26.7% of you said: "Kim. She's too much of a liar for me."

26.7% of you said: "Sheree. She's just Sheree and I don't like that."

13.2% of you said: "Lisa. She just tries too hard sometimes."

26.7% of you said: "Nene. She's plain 'ole obnoxious."

6.7% of you said: "Kandi. She can sing but she's too "ghetto"."

I was hoping the results would sway to only one person, but I can't control your votes. But without these three the show wouldn't be as entertaining at all. They are definitely the most drama filled characters on the show! My vote was for Sheree, I really don't like her character and what she's about, but that's just me.

Alter Egos: effFIERCE or effFLOP?

If you happened to miss the Real Housewives of Atlanta last night, you missed the unveiling of their Alter Egos. The ladies and photograph Derek Blanks had a black tie cocktail party to reveal their alter ego photos. Take a look:

After saying no to Nene's suggestion to be transformed into a black girl as her alter ego, Kim decides to be a stepford wife and a "mistress". Doesn't seem that far off from her real life, huh?

Lisa acted as a good girl (Girl Scout), being pushed off of her bike by a bad girl (Vixen). On the show Lisa said that she doesn't think any of these personalities describe her, and that she would be the girl that rescues the good girl from the bully.

I think Nene fulfilled her lifetime goal by acting as a stripper as her alter ego. She was serving it on that pole. The goody two shoes woman was a good attempt, but overall the picture is cool.

Since Sheree's still having a court battle to receive a seven-figure settlement from her ex-husband, Nene decides to play on that for her picture. Sheree plays that 7-figure woman and a robber trying to jack her for the money. I love the facial expressions.

Last but not least is the new housewife on the block, Kandi. Since a tragedy with her (ex)fiance's family, she decided to go a bit deeper in the efforts to send a message. Kandi plays the drunk driver and then a pedestrian being hit by the driver.

There you go! Now that you've seen the ladies and their alter egos, who do you think had the effFIERCEST picture and who just effFLOPPED?

Be inspired.

Fashionably Late?

Maybe I’m taking this whole “Tardy for the Party” thing too far but I can’t help but to sing that catchy chorus when my mind goes idle. Anyway, thinking about the song, made me think…Wait…aren’t you supposed to be “tardy for the party”! I mean seriously, who comes to a party that starts at 10:00…at 10:00?
What’s fashionably late, and just plain obnoxious all depend on the circumstance... Here are a few tips to ensure the perfect tardy for the party entrance!!

DON’T be Tardy for the Party

Weddings, loved ones birthday parties (especially surprise celebrations),club meetings, church (party for the lord!), business functions, theatrical performances, class (learning’s always a party right?)…

- Most often people/productions devote a substantial amount of time and effort into these events, not to have you show up when the cat drags you in… No, but seriously, just think about it. If it were you, how would you want your guests to treat you in the that situation? You would want them to show up on time, right? Yea me too, ok moving on…

PLEASE be Tardy for the Party

There’s not really a list of celebrations that you should be fashionably late for, just a little blab will do…

-So you hear from a friend's friend's friend that there’s a party tonight at 9:00. You and your friends get there at 9:30 right?.. WRONG!!

When someone sets a time for a dance party, the expectation is that the guests will arrive at least an 1 to 1.5 hrs late. So unless you want to help move the couches, coffees tables and hang up the lights…OR you want to pregame with a bunch of people you don’t know, show up later than 30 minutes.

Now there's always exceptions to rules...Here's one:

If the party is from 9:00-10:30, (Strange but it happens, I'm guessing its just a pregame party. Anyway…) coming 30 minutes late is acceptable. In fact, 30 minutes late might be a little too late.

WAY too Tardy for the Party

So if you are coming to an event and you decide that it’s best that you and your fabulous entourage come late please don’t:

-come when there’s only about an hour left.

-make a scene if the focus is on another person/group of people/topic (basically not YOU) for the night.

I think I got it out of my system and I think I’m done with this whole Tardy for the Party business.

Later Party People!

eyeYeyeYeye: ATL Housewife Calls 9-1-1

It seems like the Atlanta housewives cannot stay drama free. Allegedly Kim Zolciakof the ATL Housewife cast made a 9-1-1 call stating that she was choked by her cast member. She told police that she was sitting in her White Bently at the Target shopping center. Apparently, the cast member was Nene Leaks, but she denies and "wrongdoings".

These ladies need to get it together and just leave Kim alone. Why is she always in the middle of the drama? I see some truth in a lot of things that she says and I personally think that she's into everything because she's the "white girl". What do you think?

eyeYeyeYeye: ATL Housewife Gets The Boot

No, not off of the show, but according to TMZ ATL Housewife Lisa Hartwell and her husband, former Oakland Raiders linebacker Edgerton Hartwell, were booted from their multi-million dollar Georgia mansion last week -- after the couple defaulted on their loan and the bank sold it shortly after.

Hartwell's rep tells us the couple was in talks with the lender to restructure the loan because the home had lost value -- but that failed. They originally bought the place for $2.9 mil back in 2007 -- but the bank only got $1.9 mil when they resold it this month.

The rep says "Ed and Lisa are fine. They have settled in their [new] home, that sits on 10 acres and they OWN it!"

I'm a little confused as to how they lost her house considering the couple's business in real estate. In the first season of the show Hartwell was seen "working" and selling a house to producer Jazzy Pha. I'm just confused. Anyways, best wishes to the couple and if you didn't know, season two has already started and on Thursday you can catch the third episode where Sheree and Kim get into it! Make sure you tune in on Bravo at 10pm!

eyeWatch: The Real Housewives of ATL!

Here's the scoop from the party for the launch of the second season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta from AJC.

Attention is like oxygen for “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” If a red carpet isn’t there, do you even exist?

Fortunately for the five women from the Bravo show, last night’s premiere party at the W Hotel in Buckhead was nirvana thanks to the camera-toting media horde. More than 500 people showed up, including Tameka “Tiny” Cottle and Antonia “Toya” Carter from the BET show “Tiny & Toya,” Q from the local R&B group 112 and music producer Jazze Pha. Zolciak invited her cosmetic surgeon Louis Cole, who said he may or may not show up in this season’s episodes. And show creator Princess Banton-Lofters, whose production company Loft 22 Entertainment helped put together the party, came by as well.

The publicist’s media advisory promised attendees such as Mike Vick, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and R&B singer Angie Stone. I did not see them.

Lisa Wu Hartwell was the first of the five there, looking fabulous in a green dress created by Sergio Hudson. Soon after, new buds Kim Zolciak and Kandi Burruss strolled into the green room for interviews. At about 9:30 p.m., NeNe Leakes joined the other three, highlighted by a stunning pearl necklace.

NeNe told my videographer Ryon Horne that the show portrayed her 100 percent accurately season one and she expected no different season two. She also said she didn’t get along with Burruss partly because she felt Burruss, as the newcomer in the group, didn’t show her the proper respect.

I also spoke briefly with Kim about her relationship with Kandi. “She is the best thing to happen to the show,” Kim said. “She’s phenomenal and so beautiful.” Kandi, she said, helps her big time in the music studio as Kim pursues a country music career.

Last housewife there? Sheree Whitfield, who decided to channel ’80s era Tina Turner and Grace Slick with a Mad Max-style hairdo. She came in too late to do many interviews. I also noticed that she never smiles with her mouth open when she poses. Instead, she does her own version of Zoolander’s “Blue Steel.”

The screening was scheduled to start at 10 p.m. By 10:30 p.m., most everyone was seated, but several folks milled about gabbing away in front of the screen. The plaintive cries of the emcee to sit down went ignored. I had already seen the first episode (Bravo had sent a screener a couple of weeks ago) so my fiance and I left at 10:45 p.m.. The screening did start a few minutes later, according to one of the publicists today. Apparently, people sat in spaces reserved for the housewives and it took some time to get extra seats to accommodate the women.

As I was leaving, I saw frequent NeNe sidekick and hairdresser Dwight Eubanks at the valet. He was departing early as well. I said to him, “You’re in the first five minutes of the first episode. Why are you missing that?” He rolled his eyes and said, “Whatever.” He had been there a long time already.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” season two, debuts at 10 p.m. TONIGHT on Bravo.
