ToP THiS: Tis The Season

December, a month a holiday cheer. No matter who you are, or what holiday you celebrate, we can all relate to the season of giving. Some give out gift in the hopes of getting one in return, while others give out of the kindness of their hearts. In this economy, and in life alone, giving can be costly. Receiving something we've want is nice, but honestly, the gift of spreading love means so much more. Here are some ways in which you can give this holiday season, and leave an imprint on someone's heart rather than your bank account.

Giving Out Gifts and Love at the Same Time
There are more blessings in giving than receiving. When you buy gifts or cards from charity organization, your money goes a long way. Not only do you get someone a gift, but your donation also goes to help someone in need.

Be a Role Model for Kids
It is a great way to educate little ones in understanding the concept of giving and helping others. Many times, children are too wrapped up in the "Xmas" rather than the "CHRISTmas". Be a living example of what the holiday season is all about and you will inspire children to want to be like you.

Where to get Charity Christmas Gifts
There are many charity organizations worldwide selling Christmas gift cards and Christmas presents. Some of them also have gift shops which allows you to spread your love while giving out a gift all year round. Most of them have direct posting service which helps you to direct the gifts directly to your friends or family Try working with a charity organization such as:

UNICEF has a long history in selling Christmas cards and in turn helping children in needs in more than 150 countries around the world. Besides Christmas cards, you can also find a wide assortment of Christmas gift ideas from toys, candle holders, stationeries, jewelry, to fair trade products. Not only in Christmas, you can also purchase these gifts as birthday gifts, corporate gifts or for any other purposes all year round.

You can also purpose 'Inspired Gifts' from UNICEF as Christmas presents. What you do is actually making an amount of donation which goes into a particular solid subject that helps kids, for instance, donating $20 to help providing clean water. UNICEF would send a card to your friend with your personal message along side with the gift detailed. This way you help children in need directly and at the same time allowing your family and friends to experience the pleasure of helping others.

UNICEF greeting cards are available at partner stores like Ikea while all other gifts and cards are available online. Please visit your national UNICEF website for further details.

Nothing to do on Christmas Day? Volunteer!
Head to a soup kitchen this holiday season and put a smile on someone's face. Volunteering is always a good thing, especially when it comes from the heart.

eyeWant: "I Am...World Tour" CD/DVD

Anyone that has known me is within the past few years knows how much I loved Beyoncé. I won't lie, I was almost a Beyoncé stan, but quite frankly I put those days behind me. Don't get me wrong, I love her music, videos, and fierceness, but it was getting bad. I remember going to see the Beyoncé Experience tour at Madison Square Garden and almost crying when it was over. I also remember watching the DVD to the tour possibly over 100 times in my dorm to the point where even my roommates could recite the words. After her I Am... tour, I was upset that it wasn't released on DVD and instead had to settle for her I Am Your DVD performance at the Las Vegas Wynn.

It was an intimate performance and I was very disappointed because I was expecting something more along the lines of what will be released on November 29th...the I AM...WORLD TOUR CD/DVD! I'm very excited for this just to watch it and it'll be here in time for the holidays. Now I'm wondering if she'll have another Thanksgiving special. But anyway...

Happy Easter

On behalf of the elleELLEeye Staff, we would like to wish you all a

Happy Easter.

1 Corinthians 15:16-20 ESV
(16) For if the dead are not raised, not even Christ has been raised. (17) And if Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins. (18) Then those also who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. (19) If in this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are of all people most to be pitied. (20) But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

Remember that Jesus is always the reason for the season. Have a great day!

ToP THIS: Gang Green

Leprechauns, shamrocks, rainbows, pots of gold, beer and green are all stereotypes that come to mind when one thinks of St. Patrick's Day. And although it is a holiday primarily associated with individuals of Irish decent, there are ways we can all celebrate and embrace our "Irish" side. From anything as little as adding a splash of green to your apparel to cooking a traditional Irish corned beef and cabbage dinner for your family; we can all participate in this holiday.

So what exactly can you do to join the festivities? Here's a list of events and activities for you to do to enjoy our St. Patty's Day:

Start your day off with a traditional Irish breakfast: fried eggs, pork sausages, bacon, pudding (black and white blood sausage), tomato, potatoes, a substantial helping of toasted bread and hot coffee or breakfast tea. This menu would probably work for lunch or dinner too!

Enjoy a nice beverage. Be it a pint of Guinness, some other beer dyed green, an Irish Coffee, green milk, a green cocktail, or a shamrock shake, treat yourself to something tasty.

Visit an Irish pub. If you're not over 21, you could just go there for lunch or dinner and soak up the scene.

Cook up a nice corned beef and cabbage dinner or have some fish 'n chips if corned beef isn't really your style.

Watch a movie. Here's some films that feature Irish characters and/or themes: "Once," "The Departed," "The Commitments," "The Informer," "The Quiet Man," "Angela's Ashes," "Circle of Friends," "In the Name of the Father," "Michael Collins," "My Left Foot," "Gangs of New York," "The Matchmaker," or "The Secret of Roan Inish."

If all else fails, the last thing I can suggest is for you to go out and get a tattoo that reads "Kiss Me, I'm Irish". Just kidding! Nonetheless, enjoy this St. Patty's Day and emerge yourself in the day and festivities!
