Right Thru Me/Lovin' You No More

It's safe to say that rapper Nicki Minaj is slowly working her way into the hearts of many. She just released a video for her single "Check It Out" with Will.I.Am and has just premiered the official video for "Right Thru Me".

Her co-star in the video is French model Willy Monfret and he is all types of eyecandy. I personally enjoyed the video, and it made me appreciate the song even more. Her album, Pink Friday is due out in November 22nd and the video was directed by Diane Martel.

Next up, we have the official video for Diddy-Dirty Money's "Loving You No More" featuring Drake. Cool, modern, and contemporary are words that i would use to describe the video. I remember hearing this song last year when it was in its beginning stages and I love it even more now. Dawn is one talented lady with some major songwriting skills. After numerous push backs, the album, Last Train To Paris, is finally due in stores on December 14th!

Dawn - Dirty Money

Someone, somewhere must have read my mind. I was having a discussion with a friend of mine yesterday and we were echoing the sentiments of many that Dirty Money (Dawn and Kaleena) have seemed to become Diddy's back up dancers- A SHAME. I said that it was sad because both are extremely talented and it seemed to be unfitting to be behind the guy who is the best at sucking up everyone's energy and making himself the focal point (no way anyone can argue with this - check his resume). I was in thought of whether there would ever be a chance for Dawn to stand alone. The look is there, the vocals, but what is missing? Maybe the effort? With these pictures and interview in Ghubar Magazine, it is clear that she is creating a separate image for herself.

Dawn claims to be chic, and eclectic - which we can see - but aren't we all in our own way. What's going to be her distinction? Follow trends - she must not. Be a backup singer - she must let go of. It may pays the bills for now, but we appreciate her talent; even if it's drowned out by the "Yeah take that" of Diddy lol.

What do you think about Dawn, Kaleena & Diddy - Dirty Money?

eyeWatch: "Hello GoodMorning"

Although the video for Diddy & Dirty Money's "Hello Good Morning" featuring Rick Ross and T.I. was released last week, but there's something about it that just make me post it. I love T.I.'s verse & swag in the video. Despite the fact that I think Kaleena and Dawn don't get enough shine, I think The Last Train To Paris will be a hit album. Hopefully we hear more from the two ladies, but since Diddy's in the equation, I don't know how likely that is. The video was directed by Hype Williams and is off the album, The Last Train To Paris, set to hit stores on June 29th.

Also, check out behind-the-scenes footage of "Hello Good Morning" the remix featuring Nicki Minaj. Happy watching!

effFriday: eyeSpy Something effFresh DIRTY MONEY!

Diddy introduces his new "group"? DIRTY MONEY! No, not drug money or illegal money, but according to Diddy dirty money is "raw and so real"; which is the sound on his upcoming album Last Train to Paris. The members are Dawn (formerly of Danity Kane), Sean (Diddy), and Kaleena! Watch the video and Diddy will explain it all! He says that he will release the lyrics to the album soon, since that's what he's most proud of. The album is set to release on September 22nd.

effFriday: eyeSpy Something effFLY!

I'm sure we were all surprised when Dawn Richard (formerly of Danity Kane) debuted her new hairdo on the live season finale of Making the Band 4, but did we love it? I do, I think the whole weave and long hair thing has been overdone by some people, so I'm personally happy that Dawn went for a change. With this new look she exudes a new positive attitude, which is prevalent through her tweets on Twitter. Dawn makes the cut for this week's effFriday: eyeSpy Something....effF L Y! She recently was interviewed by Honey Magazine and below I have some photos from her photo shoot and an excerpt from the interview:

Honey: Now, we gotta talk about the fashion swag real quick.
Dawn: Owww, and the hair that's giving you rockstar but past it. Like I'm a rockstar and more.
Honey: Ok, so let's talk about the hair. New look?
Dawn: New look, new Dawn! You know I was with Danity Kane for awhile and it was great. I had the long joint and it was hot, but you know I'm moving on to a new chapter in my life. I wanted to start something different. I am working with Puff on the album Last Train To Paris, and we just wanted to separate me from what people are used to seeing from Making the Band and everything. I think it was time for a change. My spirit changed, my life changed, and I think I wanted to head into a more "me" direction. The more "Dawn when I was growing up," like Green Day was my first concert... so the rock Dawn, the one that I know. I got up with this amazing guy Larry, who does Victoria Beckham, Queen Latifah, like you name it. All the short joints, all the long joints, Laurie Ann Gibson. He hooked me up, cut me, and we loved it. And I am not even looking back, I am forever now a bald head girl (laughs), and I am okay with it.
