BOSS Ladies Are Too Deep

Our eyes were in attendance at Barnard College this past weekend for an event that was Too Deep. The Barnard Organization of Soul Sisters (BOSS) was founded in 1968. As a student organization dedicated to celebrating black womanhood, they highlight important issues in the Afro-American community at Barnard and Columbia. BOSS also fosters fellowship in the form of sisterhood among women of color.

In the midst of celebrating women,  BOSS had Too Deep give a presentation on racism, sex, sisterhood, and more. Too Deep Entertainment is a multi-cultural performing arts group committed to empowering and educating the community, fostering social change, and positively influencing the knowledge, behaviors and attitudes of its audiences. Their mission is to "educate and empower through entertainment." And they do exactly that wherever they perform.

eyeSpot: Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals

Our eyes kicked off fashion week at the adidas Originals store in SOHO of NYC this week. Adidas celebrated fashion week as they launched their new denim originals collection. They also premiered the Spring/Summer 2011 Jeremy Scott apparel and footwear.  Many eyes came out to the event ans showcased their Adidas gear. We had mode, Tina Roe tag along as she showcased some of the pieces featured in the adidas store. Some employees and other event-goers also posed for our camera showing off their Adidas apparel.

If you know anything about fashion designer Jeremy Scott, you know that he's known for his outgoing, yet original design aesthetic.
He first partnered up with adidas Originals in late 2008. If you associate the word "fly" with anything, it'll be with JS and his signature "Wings". He's worked with pop stars and sure knows how to bring the pop to a pair of sneakers. With triple-tongues, fire-blowing and iridescent sneakers all already in the vault, the Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals line will assuredly continue to bring outlandish designs to the forefront of kicks culture.

Raffled off at the event were teddies, not teddy bears, but the adidas x Jeremy Scott's Teddy Bear sneakers. They're just as comfy as they look, and they're made for both men and women.
