A Truth About Women & Hip-Hop

We put you onto the BET special My Mic Sounds Nice: A Truth About Women & Hip-Hop, but just in case you missed it - we've got you covered. As a female (and somewhat of a rapper), I found this documentary to be very inspiring. The documentary features Eve, MC Lyte, Jean Grae, Eve, Yo Yo, Salt ‘N Pepa, Missy Elliott, Trina, Roxane Shante, Rah Digga, Lady Of Rage and more. It was interesting to hear the different views of one of the only female emcees in the game making moves right now (besides Trina), Nicki Minaj. Overall it was a great program. I don't know how much this will shift the position of females in Hip-Hop, but it was great. Happy watching.
