Ahhh. Fall, the most beautiful season of the year is here! The golden leaves, and the Indian summer days are a couple of things that make Fall my favorite season. Not only because I happen to be born in the Fall, but because of the FASHION! This is the best time for fashionistas to play with layers and textures. Why not take a risk with the season's latest apparel and really show the world what you're made of? In honor of fall fashion, I thought I'd start you guys off with the basics necessities:

1. Trench Coat - A classic piece for fall. Every time I think of fall I think trench!

2. Boots- Boots were basically made for fall. This is an essential piece for fall, regardless of the length and style. But, this season you'll be seeing a lot of over the knee boots.

3. Sweaters - Yet another piece that's synonymous with Fall. Sweaters and cardigans are essential to any fall wardrobe. You can mix this up with anything from jeans to leggings, and have a different look each time.

4. Leather Jacket - A piece that is needed, especially for those chilly nights. It gives an edge and instant cool to any outfit. You can't go wrong with a leather.

With these key pieces for fall eyebelieve you'll be well on your way to becoming a Fall Fashionista(o). Do you have a favorite Fall piece? Let us know!

Trend Check: Fall Essentials

The summer's coming to a close, and for me that is more than enough to put a smile on my face. I love Autumn...the temperature, the colors, and the fashion. Doesn't everything seem easy, breezy and laid back in the fall? That's because it is! You don't have to worry about being too hot or too cold and everything always seems just right. But don't step out this Fall season without your fashion essentials! Yes, the color scheme for the fall usually remains the same every year; the burgundy, beige, forest green, teal and golds. Yet and still, there are some fashion items that we all should have in our closets and if not, make it a priority to purchase them.

The Blazer/Cardigan - The "Cardi" has been a hit in the fashion world for the past couple of years. With the "boyfriend" fit for the ladies, to the different lengths and styles, it can be the perfect touch to a lackluster outfit. A blazer has the same effect, and will add a chic and stylish touch to almost any outfit. Same rule applies for the men, keep it simple & add that cardigan or blazer for the dapper touch! (Embellished pocket cardigan from jcrew.com)

The Dark Rinse Denim - No matter who you are, you must have a pair of basic jeans.
With the fall you can wear the lighter washes while it's still nice out, but make sure you have a dark rinse pair of denim jeans. Darker denims/jeggings add a richness to your outfit. (J. Crew Relaxed fit jeans $96, Skinny dark rinse - Old Navy $34.50)

The Boots - Whether they're canvas, leather, cowboy, or moto boots, you can't go wrong! Unless of course, you try to do too much with your outfit. Boots are a necessity for the all. Your color choice should be brown, black, or tan. These colors are neutral and will nicely compliment the rest of your wardrobe. (Men's canvas boots: Topshop.com $80, Wmns boots: Coach.com $348)

The Button Up - A classic shirt that can be dressed for a casual day - or a day at work. The button up comes in so many different textures, colors, length and detailing, that it's almost impossible for one not to find the right fit for themselves. Plaids, floral, stripes and solids are a thumbs up for the fall! (NY & Co Boyfriend Denim shirt $39.95, Flannel J. Crew Shirt)

The Coat (or jacket) - Named "The Ultimate Investment Piece" by TopShop.com, a coat/jacket for the fall is definitely worth the money and time it takes to find the right color, style and fit! Here's where you can have fun before you have to throw on the bulky winter coat. When purchasing a fall coat, look for something that you can dress up and dress down. Also, leave a little room for layering - especially since you're investing in a coat that may cost more than the other items in your wardrobe, you want to have the option to wear it in the years to come.

The best thing about these items is that they're simple, and can be mix-and-matched with a number of different items. One of the plus sides to the fall is that you can certainly layer your outfits. Where to shop? Top Shop, Old Navy, Gap, Macys, H&M, or even bargain stores such as Target or Sears. Remember to have fun with fall fashion, and don't hesitate to take some of your summer items and transition them to this season. For instance, take a look at Perla's Perfect Transition Shoes post. Happy shopping!

Perfect Transition Shoes

What shoes can transition from Summer to Fall?

Finding the perfect transition item can be a challenge, but when found they're the best items in anyone's closet. The item(s) can range from blouses, skirts, and most importantly shoes. Doesn't it feel great to be able to wear your favorite pair of platforms in the Summer and Fall? It can be a journey to find the perfect shoe that doesn't show too much toe but enough to be considered sexy for the weather. I have put together shoes that will fit perfectly into your wardrobe and a few suggestions of how to wear them.

KLITSCH by ALDO $110

This is a great color for both season. It can be a substitue for the summer favorite cognac tone. This shoe can be wore with jeans or dressed up with a jersey dress for the Fall.

MCSPIRIT by ALDO $100

The lovely cognac with the comfortable heel is the perfect shoe for the Fall and especially the Summer. This shoe can be easily worn with a summer dress and with any Fall fashion such as trousers and leggings.

CREGER from ALDO $90

Instead of the strappy formal sandal this is the perfect replacement in taupe. This would look great with any simple formal dress or you can add some funk to it and wear some stockings.

CARRLY from Steve Madden $69.97

This bulky platform is just right especially for any weather. I love this shoe the best because of the color and the studded details around the front of the heel.

All stores are now ready for Fall 2010, and have delivered plenty of shoes and array of styles and prices. Similar shoes can be found also in Bakers Shoes, Nine West, and VictoriasSecret.com. Happy shopping!
