eyeAsk: Relationships

In relationships... how important is it to you to fulfill your promises?

I decided to ask this question because I really don't like it when people don't keep their promises. Whether it's between friend or lovers, I don't see what's so hard about keeping true to your word. The most annoying thing is when someone says "I'll call you later" and I say "you promise?" and they say "yea". If you you're not going to call me or if you're not sure, just say "I can't make any promises" or "I'll try". I am totally fine with any of the above.

Personally, if I make a promise, then I'm going to keep it [unless something drastic happens]. I don't like to be lied to, whether it's intentional or not, so if I'm not going to do something, I'll just say it upfront. So with that being said, it is very important for me to fulfill my promises, because I don't ever want to feel like I'm letting someone down.

HAPPY 1 WEEK =)

eyeAm HAPPY because it has only been one week since the launch of elleelleeye.blogspot.com, and I think that the development of the site is going very well. My goals would be to have more people comment and for more people to come onto the site in general. Drake Explains it All [well not all, but the concept behind his latest video "Best I Ever Had"]

Complex talked to Drake about the concept behind his titillating video, and here's what he had to say:

The concept of the video is, I’m a coach at a high school and the girls of my life are all on my high school basketball team. Throughout the video you see us prepping for this big championship game, and my team ends up losing. You see the looks on their faces at the end of the video, but the moral of the story, I guess, is win or lose, you can still be the best to somebody. When women see the video and see all the breast and ass, hopefully they don’t take offense. Hopefully they see the real meaning.

I personally miss the old Drake, the Drake that played Jimmy, or should I just say I miss Mr. Aubrey Graham...Here's his video for "Replacement Girl" featuring Trey Songz that was released a couple years back. I think this is much, much better than that crap Kanye directed!

Best eye Ever Had?

Well personally, I've had or seen much better. It saddens me to see much a good artist like Drake put out something like this. Not that I'm bragging or anything, but unlike the majority of the world that is now on Drake's d*ck, I've been listening to him since Degrassi, well that's OD so I'll say since his Room for Improvement mixtape. But what I think caught everyone's attention was the track "Best I Ever Had", from his mixtape So Far Gone. This definitely solidified his footprints in the music industry.

What shocks me most about the video is that it was directed by Mr. Kanye "Throw-a-b*tch-fit" West; so in some way or another I was expecting much more. Wait, did I just say that? I'm sure the moment we heard that Kanye was doing the video we were anticipating this great piece of art to represent such a good song. On the other hand we got one of the stereotypical aspects of what all rappers resort to...SEX! In this particular situation I don't think sex will sell at all. I definitely think I would've come up with a better treatment for the video. Anyways, here's what some of my peers said via Twitter [they are anonymous comments]. Oh, and you can peep the "video" below, I would say enjoy, but unless you're a male and like to see sweaty breasts all over, I don't think that's really an option.

I think that I am truly addicted to this song, I love it! It's called "Crushcrushcrush" by the band Paramore. My favorite version is off of their Final Riot CD. "Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and your plans will succeed."Proverbs
16:3

I thought what better way to start off my day than with a Bible verse. When I looked up "inspirational bible verses" I saw this verse, and thought that it fit perfectly. When I went to the verse in my bible it was so crazy because the last verse that I had read from my bible was Proverbs 16:2; which reads "All a man's ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the LORD." I don't think it was a coincidence that I stumbled across this chapter, so today I will make it a part of my plan to read it. I hope it is inspirational to you more than anything else and lets you know that there is nothing in life that you can fail at if you include God in your plans.

Never be ashamed to include God in anything, because He deserves all of the credit. If I want my site to be a success and touch anywhere from one to one million people in the world, I must include God in my plans to do so. I know that my site is fairly new [1 week to be exact...this calls for a celebration], but God has blessed me with over 600 hits on the site and friends that are supporting me and helping me in this journey of mine. What more can I ask for?

[Back to the verse] However you define success, I'm sure everyone is aware of the times of failure. After reading this verse there are so many instances where I can say that I have failed because I didn't include God in my plan of action. I'm sure we all can do the same. When we look at a relationship that didn't end up the way we may have liked it to, or when we hang out with a certain crowd and things spiral out of hand, we start to name a bunch of reasons and make up a thousand excuses on why these relationships failed. In actuality, we should just take the time to think about what we're doing, stop, and include God in it if He hasn't already been a part of it in the first place. I know it may be hard and most of the time we do things on instinct, but I will try to make a conscience effort to ask myself WWJD. I know it may sound corny or cliché, but this is what we're or I am lacking in my life.

I seriously had no intentions on coming here and "preaching" to you guys, but I will keep it "a hunnit' [LOL] and say that I am really preaching to myself. Hopefully we will all get something out of this, whether we're Jewish, Atheist, or share the same faith. I think I just inspired myself to do something new today, well...I'm about to go read Proverbs 16. But stay tuned to elle.elle.eye for the rest of today as we celebrate our ONE WEEK ANNIVERSARY [lol].

Hey world,

As you can see I haven't blogged all day for a very important reason. I won't say why, but if you know me, then you should know why. Otherwise...you shall remain in mystery. Hopefully in the next few days something will happen and change all of this! Ugh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I only posted one [yes ONE] update on Twitter today and it was an RT. But on a personal note my eyebrows and hair got done [fresh perm ya'll]; which means I can't go swimming for a while. Other than that I've just been DEE-to-the-PRESSED. Man oh man...
